Spring 2020 Market In Full Swing

It may be winter but spring has sprung.
If you're a potential home seller and waiting for the tulips to sprout then you're waiting too long!
The Spring market is in full swing and the Seller's are going to benefit this year. The inventory is at an all time low in Pickering - meaning those few homes that are for sale will be in big demand.
"Increased competition between buyers has resulted in an acceleration in price growth," said TREB's chief market analyst, Jason Mercer, earlier this month. "Expect the rate of price growth to increase further if we see no relief on the listings supply front."

I've recently listed two homes that both sold within one day, proving TREB is on the right track with their market predictions for 2020.
"It's no secret that market conditions in Canada's largest cities have been largely defined by a growing supply and demand gap," explains Zoocasa's managing editor, Penelope Graham.

If you're thinking of listing this spring - List NOW!

The Woodlands Neighbourhood

The first homes in the Pickering neighbourhood now known as Woodlands began along Old Forest Road, Highbush Trail and Rosebank Road from the 1900’s to the 1940’s. Now, Woodlands is the perfect place for those that want to live in a great neighbourhood close to retail conveniences, community amenities while having a short commute and GO transit options to the downtown core.

The Amberlea Neighbourhood

Over the past several months, you may have noticed a different look with the Anna Wood Report. New colours, new logo, new photo and a new motto: “Love Where You Live”.  As an Amberlea resident myself, I find this motto holds true to our neighbourhood.  In Amberlea we are lucky to be close to great schools, have quick access to the city via Go transit or by car, there’s nearly a dozen family friendly parks, outdoor adventures to be had in the Altona Forest, agricultural farmland north of us, and the Lake Ontario Waterfront trail on our doorstep to the south!  These are just some of the reasons I Love Where I Live!

If you haven’t already seen my YouTube channel, I’ve just launched a very special neighbourhood video showcasing our Amberlea neighbourhood and I urge you to check it out.  You’ll also find other community and neighbourhood related content such as our recent cleanup of the Altona Forest we did with local environmental group PickWaste. The videos can be found on my channel at: youtube.com/annawoodTV

... And The 5 Benefits Of Listing Your Home In The Fall In Pickering

The World Wide Web Has No Seasons
During the colder months, people research and view properties on their computers and mobile devices - meaning there are potential home buyers actively looking at all times, no matter the season.

Fall Colours = Curb Appeal
Brilliant fall foliage can make your home look more attractive for showings. Curb appeal for most homes reaches its peak this time of year.

Less Competition
Listing your home during the fall means there will be fewer new properties on the market and less competition. A great opportunity to really make your home stand out!

Serious Buyers
By the time the fall season comes around, the window shoppers and tire kickers often have a clearer idea of what they want in a home and are thinking ahead. Spring markets usually mean a spike in home prices but by the time the fall season comes around, the market has normalized attracting serious buyers.

Enjoy Spring And Summer In Your New Home
There's a good chance you'll be moved into your new home by the time spring arrives, so you can enjoy a worry-free summer!
